Week 11 of the Earring Challenge

I finished reorganizing and cleaning my home studio this week. New shelves and lights are making such a difference and it’s so nice to walk into a clean work space. I played with colored pencil on copper again this week.

This week’s earrings are colored pencil on copper with a fun spiral design. The colored pencil is sealed with a gloss and the earrings are finished off with sterling silver ear wires.

Week 10 of the Earring Challenge

This week I have been working on cleaning out my home studio. I was so involved in redoing the studio that I realized half way through the week I had not worked out what earrings I wanted to make. Oops, well better late than never I think.

This week’s earrings are fun little flowers. They are sterling silver with a brushed finish and have a small citrine cabochon set in the center of each flower.

Week 9 of the Earring Challenge

Sickness has slowed me down again this week. Having a toddler in preschool is giving my immune system a workout. I kept things simple this week by working with colored pencils and copper.

This week’s earrings are pierced copper. They have a colored pencil patina sealed with a gloss. These are finished with sterling silver ear wires.

Week 8 of the Earring Challenge

This week’s earrings are sterling silver hoops with a hammered texture. Small fold formed copper disks add a chandelier element to the earrings. To give the copper its different colors it has been heat treated. These earrings are finished with handmade sterling silver ear wires.
