In this week’s earrings I used one of my favorite techniques,
colored pencils on copper. I pierced the copper with a flower pattern and then colored
them with shades of purple. They have a glossed finish to protect the colored
pencil patina. They also have handmade sterling silver ear wires.
RedWorks Jewelry was created by Sayer C Brosnahan. Works include but are not limited to chain work, enamels, color pencil patinas, and wire wrapped creations.

Week 19 of the Earring Challenge
This week my earrings are commission pieces, so I can’t take
the credit for the great idea. I did have fun creating these little flowers.
These delicate little earrings are sterling silver dogwood
flowers. They have fine silver granules surrounding the ruby settings. The ear
wires and nuts are also sterling silver.

Week 17 and 18 of the Earring Challenge
The last two weeks have just been crazy at our home. Our
daughter had her 3rd birthday and that just took priority over
everything. Then as life goes the entire family got sick… My studio has been
much neglected lately. Now getting my challenge back on track I have two pairs
to show, weeks 17 and 18.
Week 17
These earrings are a smaller version on one of my favorite
pairs in this challenge so far. They are two layers of pierced sterling silver
with sterling ear posts and nuts. They
have a brushed finish to make them shine.
Week 18
These are copper disks with a colored pencil patina. They
have a spider web design drawn on with pencil and then sealed with a flat
gloss. They also have sterling silver ear wires.
