Week 29 of the Earring Challenge

This week I was having so much fun that I made 2 pairs of earrings on the same theme. They are dangling squiggles and squiggles with pearls. These 3D earrings each have a unique design but work well with one another. They are made from one length of sterling silver. The post earrings also have a 4mm A-grade pearl set in them.

Week 28 of the Earring Challenge

This week’s pair of earrings turned out as a happy accident. I had a very different idea when I first started. When my hand slipped cutting my design I realized quickly I needed to rearrange a few elements.  This led me to look at what shapes I had created and build off them. It can be a great exercise (or great headache) when your plans don’t work the way you thought.


These earrings are pierced sterling silver. They have been oxidized to show off their hammered texture. I used wire wrapping to attach a few freshwater pearls to each, and they have handmade sterling silver ear wires.  

Week 27 of the Earring Challenge

This week I really wanted to use pearls in my earring design. After many different drawings and experiments, I decided simple is sometimes better.

These earrings hang from sterling silver ear wires. They have petals of sterling silver sitting above a 4 mm A-grade pearl.  

Week 26 of the Earring Challenge

Happy 4^th of July everyone. It’s been a wet week around here but that did not stop us from having a little sprinkler and pool fun.

This week’s earrings are sterling silver circles chasing one another to form a small crescent. These studs have sterling silver ear post and nuts on the back. 

Week 25 of the Earring Challenge

This was another busy week with my family. The summer is here and that means no preschool for my daughter. I am missing that little time in the day to work but, we've decided to hit the pool and other summer like activities to wear out the toddler.  So once again I’m a day late. These are last week’s earrings.

These earrings are so much fun to ware. They tinkle lightly in your ear and sparkle in the light. They made me want to dress up and go out. These are long elegant earrings of sterling silver. Hanging from the center chain are small hand forged discs of sterling silver. These earrings have been tumbled and polished to catch the light. They also have handmade sterling silver ear wires.
