This past week I wanted to make post earrings similar to the
earrings I made in week 21. These earrings are pierced copper flowers over
sterling silver discs. The copper flower has been riveted to the silver disc,
with spacers in between to create a shadow over the silver. The copper has been
heat treated and waxed to keep its coloring. These earrings have sterling
silver ear posts and nuts on the back.
RedWorks Jewelry was created by Sayer C Brosnahan. Works include but are not limited to chain work, enamels, color pencil patinas, and wire wrapped creations.

Week 23 of the Earring Challenge
This week I had a special occasion to work with. I made
these earrings for a very special lady’s birthday. They are delicate flowers
made of sterling silver with a pearl set in the center. The ear posts for these
earrings are 14k white gold with sterling silver ear nuts.

Week 22 of the Earring Challenge
These earrings are sterling silver set with small amethysts.
The earrings are darkened with a liver of sulfur patina then polished to catch
the light. They are finished with handmade sterling ear wires.

Week 21 of the Earring Challenge
This week’s earrings are pierced copper flowers with a
sterling silver base. The copper and silver pieces are riveted together. Spacers
are set between each piece to show depth and to cast a shadow of the pierced
flower across the silver base. The copper is heat treated and waxed to protect
its color. They also have sterling silver ear wires.
